Lao-Cafe
Following a successful run as a pop-up last year, Lao Café, a restaurant specialising in food from Laos and from the team behind Rosa's Thai, opened permanently for business.
The 60-cover two-storey restaurant near Covent Garden has been designed by London-based hospitality agency Rebel Hospitality and seeks to combine the feel of the contemporary city with authentic, traditional Lao and Thai touches – including furniture, fittings, and artwork collected by co-founder Saiphin Moore herself.
The food is based around curries, salads and chargrilled, inspired by Moore’s childhood as a Laos-origin family living in Thailand’s Phetchabun Province.
